On June 8, 2019, during Ontario’s Best Buttertart Festival in Midland, representatives from Carson Funeral Homes J.H. Chapel set up a table and distributed free water to festival-goers, asking only that they make a donation to the GBGH Foundation if they felt moved to do so. Their random act of kindness raised $455 for Georgian Bay General Hospital, which will be donated to the most critical emerging care needs at GBGH.
