There are many special reasons for supporting Best Care at Georgian Bay General Hospital.  The "Just Say Thanks" program is a wonderful way to thank, honour or celebrate someone special, recognize a staff member, team or volunteer, and make a difference at our hospital.

Whether it is a personal gift in memory of a loved one, or a thank you to a nurse, doctor or team who showed warmth and compassion, every donation is an important contribution that helps to provide better care and comfort for our patients. 

Everything from beds to software for the electronic health record system comes from money raised in the community.   The government does not provide any dollars for capital equipment for hospitals in Ontario and the needs are great. At Georgian Bay General Hospital about $5 Million is needed annually for equipment.

The foundation sets a $750,000 annual target for these ongoing hospital needs, along with additional funds for other projects, including a new CT scanner, the Emergency Department upgrades and refurbishing patient rooms.
