David Turner – Chair

David is a retired investment advisor, portfolio manager and certified financial planner.  He has spent over 27 years in the financial services industry helping his clients achieve their financial goals.  Prior to that, he and his wife Barb owned a successful grocery store franchise in the village of Hillsburgh, Ontario.

Originally married at St. Anne’s church in Penetang, he left the area in the early 1980s. After spending a number of years outside of the Midland Penetanguishene area he and Barb returned to Penetang in 2006.

Dave was the past co-chair of the major gifts campaign for Gilda’s Club in Barrie, which was integral in raising the needed funds to open the “RED Door” in Barrie. He is a firm believer in giving back to the community.

Dave lives in Tiny Township with his wife Barb. They have three grown children and six wonderful grandchildren. When he’s not volunteering for the GBGH Foundation Board, or playing with the grandkids, he can be found on the golf course.
