UPDATE: We did it!
Thanks to the support or more than 100 donors, our GivingTuesday #C02Monitors4GBGH campaign raised an incredible $26,690 in just 24 hours!
And, thanks to the generosity of Nick & Marina Boudouris (owners of OPA Catering, World Famous Dock Lunch, Pier 21 and operators of Restaurant Sainte Marie), that total increases to $36,960! (the match gift was generously offered up to a total of $10,000)
December 1st, 2020 is Giving Tuesday!
Today, we are asking to you to help purchase 2 specialty C02 monitors ($16,000 each), which are critical to ensuring peace of mind for patients and staff during routine procedures.
When patients come in for a planned scope – colonoscopy for example – our care teams provide a combination of sedatives and pain medication to make the experience more tolerable. But, like any medication of this kind, this comes with some risk.
Our current vital signs monitors are great for most situations in the hospital, but the Specialty C02 Monitors provide an increased level of safety. They alert the care team to any breathing complications so that they can intervene quickly.
These new monitors will give our care teams the clear information they need to assess patients and make confident decisions, ensuring safety and peace of mind for our patients and their families.
PLUS, Nick & Marina Boudouris, owners of OPA Catering, the World Famous Dock Lunch, Pier 21 and operators of Restaurant Sainte Marie, have generously offered to match your donation* so that any gift you give will go twice as far to help our patients today.
Please help maximize this special matching gift offer by giving whatever you can. Every gift makes a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you!
* Donations will be matched up to a total of $10,000.
