UPCOMING EQUIPMENT PRIORITIES

HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER • FOR LABORATORY $250,000

A hematology analyzer rapidly analyzes blood specimens for a complete blood count (CBC) test. A CBC is the most
commonly ordered diagnostic test because it provides a ‘snapshot’ of the patient’s health, in just minutes. It is used
to help diagnose everything from infections to cancer, anemia, autoimmune disorders, dehydration, heart disease,
           inflammation, and more.

It is used more than 100 times each day, running 24/7 and takes only 12 minutes for results to be released back to
           the care team.

           BLADDER SCANNER • FOR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT/ICU $16,000

When a patient is unable to urinate, it can indicate many possible medical conditions such as a bladder infection,
a urinary tract infection (UTI), a bleed in the bladder, cancer, a neurological issue or many other possibilities. A
bladder scanner is a small, wand-like instrument that provides an assessment of the patient’s condition in minutes,
and avoids the need for a catheter. A dedicated bladder scanner for the ED / ICU will ensure that a patient in pain
can be provided with a diagnosis quickly and efficiently when time is of the essence.

ECG (ECHOCARDIOGRAM) MACHINE & IECG SOFTWARE • FOR DIAGNOSTICS $89,000

An ECG machine gives a quick “snapshot” of what is going on with a patient’s heart, at that particular moment. It is
a critical diagnostic tool that can instantly show if there is an irregular heartbeat, if the person’s electrolytes are
off, if that person has had a heart attack, or numerous other key diagnostics.

The current ECG machines are 11-years-old, and at the end of life, experiencing frequent breakdowns and repairs.
But more importantly, the technology has greatly changed in a decade, and new machines are faster, more
accurate and are able to load results digitally to a patient’s record as they are captured.

PATIENT BATHTUB • FOR 2N INPATIENT UNIT $38,000

Imagine you have limited mobility and you have to rely on sponge baths from the nursing team? Or you’re just too
weak physically to stand in a shower? It may seem like a little thing, but being able to have a cleansing, therapeutic
bath, after weeks or months in the hospital, greatly enhances patients’ comfort, sense of physical well-being and
promotes circulation/skin health for patients who are bed bound, mobility restricted or in poor physical condition.
The current tub is 45 years old, and can no longer be serviced if it breaks down.
