The current Pharmacy was built in the 1970s and no longer meets today’s standards. Tight spaces and outdated layouts
present daily challenges for a much larger team working to meet growing demand and increasingly complex medication
requirements. In addition, a non-compliant sterile preparation area creates limitations with respect to procurement and
workflow.
Renovating the space will transform the Pharmacy into a modern, purpose-built environment with a sterile preparation
area and non-sterile compounding area that meet all standards, safe and efficient work areas and storage for
medications, and a future-ready design that protects patients and supports staff.
