FROM LOTTERY WIN TO LASTING
IMPACT: HOW YOUR SUPPORT
MADE A DIFFERENCE
When Tara Sweeney got the call on May 1st that she had won $14,642 in
the final draw of the GBGH 50/50 Lottery, she was overjoyed. Beyond the
excitement of winning, Tara felt a deep sense of gratitude for the hospital and
community that has been there for her entire family.
“Both my husband and I have received excellent care at GBGH over the past year. From emergency to ICU, to
admitting nursing staff, cleaners and dietary, every single staff member has been supportive,” shares Tara, a resident of
Tiny Township.
“This prize helped us pay off some debt, which took a huge weight off our shoulders! We were also able to buy our
daughter a bike and some new bedroom furniture. We feel incredibly blessed and so thankful to everyone who
donates and helps keep our hospital running.”
Tara’s story is a powerful example of how community support makes a real difference for our hospital. When you
empower the teams at GBGH by providing them with the best tools, technology and equipment, the care teams can
put their energy into providing excellent, personal care.
