Cornerstone Partner Spotlight: Michael & Lynda Hobbs
When Michael and Lynda Hobbs retired, they chose to settle in the Midland
area as a return to roots for Lynda, who grew up nearby and has always loved
the natural beauty and outdoor opportunities in the region. But it wasn’t long
before their connection to the community grew deeper through personal
experiences at Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH).
“We’ve both had visits to the hospital, and what stood out to us most each
time was seeing that the staff and leadership weren’t just maintaining the
status quo, they were working hard to make things better. From improving
emergency care to simplifying access to testing, GBGH is clearly committed to
progress,” says Lynda.
Those first-hand experiences inspired the Hobbs to get personally involved Interested in learning more

“The hospital has produced tangible results with the purchase of
much-needed equipment,” Lynda explains. “As we get older, we are less
inclined to travel for tests or treatment, especially with long wait times
elsewhere. Having access to quality care right here in Midland is a win for
everyone.”
In every stage of life, from urgent needs to long-term planning, Michael
and Lynda believe in supporting the things that matter most. For them,
that includes better health care for people in North Simcoe, now and for
generations to come.
