Alan Fryer was introduced to the Georgian Bay area in 1956 when his parents had a family cottage built in the Sawlog Bay area. Eighteen years later, Alan and his wife Alison bought a property in the area and have enjoyed many years at their weekend retreat from a big city lifestyle. For the last while it has been their permanent residence.
Alan & Alison have been generously supporting the GBGH Foundation for the past five years, focusing on projects with significant impact on the care provided at Georgian Bay General Hospital. They have contributed toward patient room renovations, the purchase of vital capital equipment and technology and the Impact Fund. Their support for Kickstart Your Heart is another generous testament to how deeply they care about their community.
“We have been here for many years, as cottagers and residents,” shares Alison. “The hospital is a very important part of our community. Our inspiration comes from thoughts of the future, and our desire to help provide leading edge health and medical care for our entire community.”
