CURRENT NEEDS

MENTAL HEALTH

GBGH has a very high volume of mental health patients through our Emergency Department, seeing approximately 1,700 patients annually, and yet, our hospital does not currently operate an acute mental health program.

From 2024-2029, the We See You: Inside & Out campaign will raise $20-million to ensure our Georgian Bay General Hospital has the equipment and technology it needs to deliver excellent, personal care—for body, mind and spirit.

It’s a promise to every person who walks through GBGH’s doors:
you will be seen, cared for, and supported.

Invest in Local Healthcare

Providing each patient at GBGH with excellent care is possible when our dedicated team members are equipped with the right tools, education and infrastructure for diagnosis, assessment and treatment. The government does not fund equipment for hospitals – so it is up to the community to provide funding for essential equipment to enlarge our hospital’s footprint, and to upgrade out-of-date technology.

When you contribute to GBGH Foundation you are enabling the purchase of essential tools for your hospital, ensuring that excellent care can be provided in our local community for generations to come.

You can be part of the future of GBGH by investing in the priorities that will make a difference for our staff & credentialed staff, our patients and their families, and the entire community.
