We are pleased to announce that Jamie Campbell is the successful candidate for the Director, Major Gifts & Campaigns position with the GBGH Foundation. Jamie started with the team on Monday, May 12th.
Jamie joins the GBGH Foundation bringing with him over two decades of experience transforming Canada’s charitable sector at both local and national levels. Jamie is known for building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with diverse communities to drive impact.
Most recently, as National Vice President at Breast Cancer Canada, he led strategic initiatives across the country to drive engagement and introduced new revenue streams to diversify fundraising efforts. He has also played a pivotal role in high-impact fundraising campaigns at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation and Georgian College.
Jamie holds a degree from Laurentian University and has continued to expand his education through graduate studies in Ethics, Fundraising Management and Executive Leadership, and earned the Certified Fundraising Executive designation in 2015. Jamie is involved with AFP’s Global Committee on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA), and is a Past President of AFP Central Ontario Chapter.
He is excited to return to community-based fundraising and to support Georgian Bay General Hospital in this next chapter of the organization’s history. “I am especially energized by the opportunity to reconnect with the grassroots spirit of giving—building personal relationships and mobilizing local generosity to help improve care close to home.”
Please join us in extending a very warm welcome to Jamie. His experience and passion for community fundraising will be a wonderful addition to our team.
