A Milestone Birthday, a Meaningful Memory: Giving Back to GBGH Foundation for Susan’s 60th

For her 60th birthday, Susan Saccucci chose to celebrate in a way that truly made an impact. Instead of gifts, she invited friends and family to her birthday party with a special request: make a donation to the GBGH Foundation’s We See You Campaign.

The heartfelt event raised a total of $7,089, including a remarkable $5,000 gift from Susan’s friends Randy and Sandra Hall, given in honour of the excellent care Randy’s parents received at GBGH in their final days.

“As I think about the future, I’ve realized how important it is to have good health care where you live. Discovering the GBGH Foundation was a fortunate fluke, and it resonated with me so deeply that I feel compelled to support however I can, because ensuring we have what we need nearby matters so much,” shared Susan during the celebration.

The birthday fundraiser is a shining example of how one person’s generosity can make a real difference in the community. Susan’s commitment and her friends’ support will help ensure that GBGH continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients close to home.
