Almost every patient’s journey at Georgian Bay General Hospital begins on a stretcher — from the moment they arrive in the Emergency Department to diagnostic testing, surgery, and recovery. These stretchers carry our patients through some of their most vulnerable moments, and it’s essential they provide safety, comfort, and care every step of the way.
But many of our hospital’s stretchers are aging and in urgent need of replacement.
This year, GBGH needs to purchase modern, more comfortable stretchers that are easier for staff to maneuver and safer for patients across every department — ensuring that each patient’s journey begins with the comfort and safety they deserve.
