On August 23, 2024, Harbour West Marina hosted their annual summer party, where Harbour West boaters enojoyed good food, good company, and participated in a raffle that supported the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation.
“A long time friend, fellow boater, and volunteer with the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation brought it to my attention that many boaters also find themselves in need of the services provided by GBGH, but as visitors to this area, don’t often think to support our hospital,” shares Graeme Ariss, owner, Harbour West Marina. “I believe that the local marinas play an important role in raising awareness and appreciation for our hospital within the boating community and Harbour West is happy to do our part.”
The event raised $714 for GBGH, with funds to be designated towards the GBGH Foundation’s Impact Fund which addresses the hospital’s highest priority capital equipment and technology needs.
