On January 28, representatives from the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Provincial Command and Ladies’ Auxiliary Charitable Foundation visited the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation to present a generous $10,000 donation.
Their gift will help fund the purchase of a new bladder scanner for GBGH — an important piece of equipment that supports safer, faster diagnoses for patients across the hospital’s inpatient units.
A dedicated bladder scanner for each inpatient unit, reduces wait times, enhances patient comfort, and helps our team deliver more efficient, compassionate care. This technology plays a critical role in assessing and managing urinary retention and other conditions, helping prevent complications and improving overall patient experience.
“We are so grateful to the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Provincial Command and Ladies’ Auxiliary Charitable Foundation for their continued investment in health care at GBGH,” says Nicole Kraftscik, CEO, GBGH Foundation. “Support like this ensures our clinical teams have the tools they need to provide excellent care.”
This investment reflects the Legion’s longstanding dedication to strengthening communities and supporting those who rely on vital local services.
Together, we are making excellent care personal, right here at GBGH.
