Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, the GBGH Foundation has made the largest disbursement in our history — an amazing $8,024,213 transferred to Georgian Bay General Hospital!
This milestone gift is already making a big difference at GBGH, helping fund:
- The hospital’s new MRI project
- Renovations to patient rooms
- Automated lab equipment
- New surgical tools and technology
- And the replacement of aging hospital beds
“This is a transformational moment for our hospital and our community,” says Matthew Lawson, GBGH President & CEO. “The impact will be felt in every corner of our hospital.”
This remarkable total was made possible by more than 1,900 donors. From bake sales to major gifts, every contribution added up to something extraordinary.
“This is what community is all about,” says Nicole Kraftscik, GBGH Foundation CEO. “Together, we’ve made an investment that will benefit every patient who walks through GBGH’s doors.”
We shared the big news at our Impact Market on June 25, where guests had the chance to see firsthand how donor support is changing lives — including a peek at new surgical tools, the MRI project, and our lifelike SimMan patient simulator.
To everyone who played a part in this incredible achievement: thank you. Your generosity is powering the future of care at GBGH.
