Located in downtown Midland, Hemingway’s Barbershop & Social Club brings together classic barbering, personal care and a welcoming social experience. As a local business, Hemingway’s believes in showing up for the community that supports them. The team already gives back by sponsoring local sports teams and individual athletes, and partnering with the GBGH Foundation was a natural next step.

For owner Chris Walsh, the connection is personal. His family has relied on GBGH for care, including his mother’s journey as a breast cancer survivor and Chris’s own experience receiving care for a heart condition.

From September 1 to December 31, 2026, Hemingway’s will donate $5 from every spa service completed at the shop, including manicures and pedicures, to the GBGH Foundation.

The Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation is proud to welcome Whitfields Guardian Pharmacy and Abadir Nasr as a new Business Cares Strategic Partner, thanks to their commitment of $25,000 over five years in support of local health care and the patients and families who rely on GBGH. 


For more than 70 years, Whitfields Guardian Pharmacy has been a cornerstone of care in Elmvale, part of a network of independently owned Guardian and I.D.A. pharmacies serving communities across Midland, Barrie, and beyond. With nearly 85 years of combined experience, these pharmacies have built a legacy rooted in personalized, compassionate, and holistic care — empowering patients to live healthy, active lives. 

Owner Abadir Nasr brings this commitment to every location he leads, including Whitfields Guardian Pharmacy (Elmvale), Midland Clinic IDA, Remedy’s Rx (Midland), and Primary Care Pharmacy (Barrie). Across each pharmacy, patients are met with professional expertise, innovation, and a deep belief in the importance of community connection.

Jeff Holloway, Director

Jeff works at RBC Dominion Securities in Midland and joined RBC Wealth Management in 2014. In his current role, Jeff provides wealth management solutions to business owners, executives, professionals, and retirees.

Prior to working at RBC, Jeff was a partner at a leadership consulting firm and was a vice president at a Fortune 500 consulting company. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) while working for a multinational audit, tax, and consulting firm, he was the Controller at the National Hockey League Players’ Association.

Jeff was born in Kitchener-Waterloo and spent most of his childhood living in Owen Sound.  He moved to the Midland area full-time in 2019. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honors degree in Mathematics (Computer Science). Jeff also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

Jeff is very supportive of many worthwhile causes in our local community. Currently, he is the Treasurer for the Quest Art School and Gallery in Midland.
