Welcome Robyn Smith!

We are pleased to announce that Robyn Smith is the successful candidate for the Development Coordinator position with the GBGH Foundation.

Robyn joins the GBGH Foundation after spending the last eight years as a Legal Assistant supporting Amanda Chapman at Chapman Law Professional Corporation and Barriston Law. She excels at providing strategic and administrative support in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional organizational, time-management and communication skills.

Robyn is passionate about creating a welcoming environment wherever she works, and providing clients and guests with a positive experience.

She is looking forward to put her positive attitude and skills to work at the GBGH Foundation. “I am very excited to be joining the GBGH Foundation team and to be able to assist in the impact being made for this community and hospital. I bring many years of experience in administration and event planning and am passionate about connecting with the community.”

Carson Funeral Homes invests in MRI for GBGH

On May 15th, 2024, David Carson, Owner of Carson Funeral Homes gave a donation of $1,000 to the GBGH Foundation to support bringing an MRI machine to GBGH. The gift was presented after a ‘Pre-Planning’ seminar hosted by David, along with Michael Hanton of HGR Graham Partners, which touched on the meaningful impact of Legacy and Memorial Giving.

“It is so important to have an MRI in our community to help reduce wait times locally, but also for patients in Barrie and Orillia,” said David. “As we talked about in our seminar today, legacy gifts can have a great impact on our community. When individuals choose to leave a legacy gift to GBGH, they will be supporting important projects, like the MRI, and ensuring excellent care for generations to come.”
