For Rachelle Tindale, supporting Georgian Bay General Hospital is deeply personal.
A lifelong Midland resident, Rachelle and her family have built their lives in the community they proudly call home. Whether they’re out on the water, cheering on their children at activities, or spending time with friends and extended family, their roots run deep in North Simcoe.
As a GBGH Foundation Cornerstone Partner, Rachelle supports local health care by making her donations monthly — an investment that helps ensure patients and families can access the care they need, close to home.
We recently sat down with Rachelle to learn more about why consistent giving matters to her and why she believes supporting GBGH means supporting each other.
Hi Rachelle! Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m from Midland and have lived here most of my life, so this community is home. My family and I spend a lot of time enjoying everything Georgian Bay has to offer: being on the water, keeping up with the kids’ activities, and spending time with friends and family. We feel incredibly grateful to be raising our family here.
Professionally, I work in the electrical utility sector, supporting operations and delivering critical infrastructure that communities rely on every day.
How did you get involved as a Cornerstone Partner with GBGH Foundation?
The more I learned about what it takes to deliver care close to home, the more I appreciated how important community support is. Things like new equipment, upgraded facilities, and major projects rely heavily on that support. Cornerstone Partners felt like a natural way to contribute personally.
How does donating monthly make it easier to give?
Donating monthly is a consistent, manageable way to fit giving into everyday life instead of making one big commitment. Over time, those smaller contributions really add up.
What matters most to you about care close to home?
It’s knowing that care is there when you need it. Not having to travel far and being close to family makes such a difference.
What are you passionate about supporting?
Anything that improves the experience for patients and families: new equipment, upgraded spaces, or expanded services.
What message would you share with others?
Supporting GBGH is really about supporting your neighbours, friends, and family. Even small, ongoing contributions help ensure quality care is available close to home.
Rachelle’s story is a reminder that strengthening local health care doesn’t happen through one person or one gift alone. It happens when a community comes together.
Through regular giving, Cornerstone Partners like Rachelle help fund urgently needed equipment, technology, and priorities that support patient care today and into the future.
