This Giving Tuesday, the Lions Club of Penetanguishene stepped forward to make an even greater impact for local care by presenting the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation with a $1,000 donation to help fund new stretchers for patient care at GBGH.
Stretchers play a vital role across the hospital, supporting safe patient transport, emergency care, and everyday clinical needs. Thanks to the Lions Club of Penetanguishene’s generosity — and the power of this year’s “triple your impact” match gifts — their $1,000 contribution became $3,000 on Giving Tuesday and will help ensure GBGH teams have the essential tools they need to deliver excellent, compassionate care.
The Lions Club of Penetanguishene has been a steadfast supporter of GBGH for more than 15 years, with recent gifts helping fund critical equipment including Mammography services, an IV pump, and the hospital’s MRI. Their commitment extends beyond financial support, as the Lions have also been devoting their time and efforts to support the annual Cedar Ridge summer BBQ hosted by the Leonardo Family over the last 3 years.
“We are deeply grateful to the Lions Club of Penetanguishene for their continued dedication to our hospital and community,” says Nicole Kraftscik, CEO, GBGH Foundation. “Their generosity reflects the power of service clubs in strengthening local healthcare and ensuring patients receive the care they need, close to home.”
Community champions like the Lions Club remind us that when people come together, the impact reaches far beyond a single gift.
