At Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH), our ability to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community is made possible by you—our donors.
Thanks to your generosity, we recently celebrated a major milestone in advancing care closer to home. The opening of our new MRI program in March 2025 brought state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to GBGH. This investment is already reducing wait times and eliminating the need for long-distance travel for patients in our community.
And because of your enthusiastic investment in early breast cancer detection, we are already working to introduce a new mammography program at GBGH later this year. This is a critical step toward improving access and outcomes for patients across our region.
These achievements are more than service enhancements—they are powerful reflections of your commitment to delivering excellent care, right here at home.
Looking ahead, your generosity continues to shape our future. With your support, the Foundation has secured 22 acres of land directly behind our current hospital site. This land will be the future home of a new, modern hospital—a campus of care designed to meet the growing and changing needs of our region for generations to come.
We’ve already begun planning and pre-approval processes to ensure the site is ready for development as soon as we receive the go-ahead from the Ministry of Health. This proactive momentum is only possible because of your belief in our vision and your investment in our future.
On behalf of everyone at GBGH, thank you. You are not only helping us meet today’s needs, you are laying the foundation for tomorrow’s care.
