When a health crisis happens, every minute counts. This is why urgent care provided close to home at Georgian Bay General Hospital is so important.

Each year, the GBGH Foundation funds the highest priority equipment and technology needs for GBGH.  The equipment required is essential to perform daily medical diagnostics, update our facility and care for our patients.  Learn more about our Impact Fund.

Investing in our teams through training and education

Healthcare is a world of constant change and innovation, with research and technology evolving rapidly.  Providing funding for development, continuing education and enhanced learning empowers individuals at GBGH to reach beyond their current knowledge and experience, and ultimately provide a better care experience for our patients.  Learn more about our Gail La Chapelle Education Fund & Hartog Health Innovation Fund.

Equitable access to health care is a priority for the team at GBGH.  GBGH has entered into a formal relationship with the Indigenous Health Circle, through the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC), to identify gaps in local health services and establish measurable goals to improve services offered to Indigenous, Métis and Inuit residents.

Improving access to mental health care services in our community remains a top priority. To learn more about how GBGH plans to address the mental health crisis, clic here.
