This week, Let Me Be Frank is honouring the memory of Tom Meridis, who previously owned and operated Midland Fish & Chips for 35 years and was deeply loved throughout the community. Tom’s kindness, humour, and generosity shaped a legacy of hospitality that continues to inspire.

To celebrate Tom’s life and impact, Let Me Be Frank is offering Fish & Chips as their special, with $5 from every meal donated in Tom’s name to the GBGH Foundation. This heartfelt tribute is being made with gratitude to Tom and the Meridis family.



Small-town service meets big-hearted giving: Craig Stewart of Garthside Ltd. and his wife, Eve, have partnered with the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation as a Business Cares Strategic Partner, pledging $25,000 over five years to support excellent local health care for all. 
“We’ve all needed GBGH at some point, or we will, which is why it’s so important to us that we support our local hospital whenever we can,” says Craig. “After attending our first Breakfast of Champions event back in 2013, we were struck by how much of the hospital’s funding relies on community donations. From that moment on, we knew we had to help.” 
For over 45 years, Garthside Ltd. has been a trusted provider of heating, cooling, and energy-efficient solutions for families and businesses throughout Penetanguishene, Midland, and surrounding areas. Since taking ownership 20 years ago, Craig has continued the company’s tradition of small-town service while introducing a full line of Energy Star products and high-quality HVAC equipment.  As a Business Cares Strategic Partner, Garthside joins the We See You campaign, a bold, $20-million initiative to strengthen health care at GBGH through investments in vital equipment, technology, and acute mental health services. The campaign is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to be seen and cared for.

Jeff Holloway, Director

Jeff works at RBC Dominion Securities in Midland and joined RBC Wealth Management in 2014. In his current role, Jeff provides wealth management solutions to business owners, executives, professionals, and retirees.

Prior to working at RBC, Jeff was a partner at a leadership consulting firm and was a vice president at a Fortune 500 consulting company. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) while working for a multinational audit, tax, and consulting firm, he was the Controller at the National Hockey League Players’ Association.

Jeff was born in Kitchener-Waterloo and spent most of his childhood living in Owen Sound.  He moved to the Midland area full-time in 2019. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honors degree in Mathematics (Computer Science). Jeff also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

Jeff is very supportive of many worthwhile causes in our local community. Currently, he is the Treasurer for the Quest Art School and Gallery in Midland.
