Get Ready For an Unforgettable Evening of Impact

The countdown is on! One of the most anticipated events of the year is making its return, and you’re invited.

Our annual Power of Giving event is returning Saturday, September 13, 2025, set against the stunning backdrop of a private property in Tiny Township. More than just a night out, this celebration is about community, compassion, and coming together to transform local health care.

Presented by Faris Team Real Estate Brokerage, the 2025 event promises an evening you won’t forget — featuring live music by BLuSouL, gourmet creations from Feast Catering, signature cocktails at the Clam Digger Caesar Bar, and an exciting live auction hosted by the incomparable Layne, The Auctionista. Her high-energy, heart-driven style will once again bring the crowd to their feet.

“Our Power of Giving event is more than a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the incredible impact we can make together,” says Nicole Kraftscik, CEO, GBGH Foundation. “This year, we’re excited to be back in person, with a goal to raise more than $300,000 for essential hospital tools and technology, while celebrating the incredible generosity that has been pledged for our We See You campaign.”

This year’s event will also mark the official launch of the Foundation’s $20-million We See You capital campaign, aimed at transforming care for every patient who walks through the doors at GBGH.

Returning fan favourites like the Gbay Bags and the Power of Giving Online Auction (beginning August 28) will offer even more ways to give back and take part in this meaningful celebration.

Tickets are $200 and expected to sell out quickly. To get yours, visit GIVE2GBGH.ca or contact the GBGH Foundation at foundation@gbgh.on.ca or 705-526-4483.

Let’s celebrate the Power of Giving, and what’s possible when we come together for care.

From May 1 to May 31, the GBGH Foundation invited community members to reflect on how they would make a lasting impact by leaving a gift in their Will. Participants were asked to share how they would direct a hypothetical $1-million legacy gift, and in doing so, were entered to WIN a Will & Powers of Attorney Package for Two, generously provided by Jennifer Goldsmith at Ferguson Deacon Taws LLP.

We’re thrilled to announce the winner of our random draw: Susan Laliberte!

Susan shared a moving story about her care journey at GBGH, which would be the inspiration for her legacy gift:

“After I broke my pelvis in 2022, the staff on 1 North taught me to walk again. But they did more than fix me physically — every day, with their care and their courage, they showed me what it was to be heroic in the face of great difficulties, and I will always remember their dedication and their kindness.”

Congratulations Susan!
Thank you to everyone who entered and shared their inspiring visions for the future of local healthcare at GBGH. Together, we’re building a legacy of care for generations to come.
