From February 28 – March 4, 2022, the GBGH Foundation celebrated our GBGH Team Giving program!  Generously sponsored by Tom Smith Chevrolet Buick GMC, the week’s festivities included free coffee & tea for the team each day, free meals, delicious cookies and prize draws.

Community support shows the hospital staff appreciation for what we (the staff) do, and lets us know that our efforts don’t go unnoticed. This helps to boost staff morale and shows the community cares about us. Thank you!  ~ Michelle Madaire, GBGH

During the week, the Foundation also provided the team with information about the GBGH Team Giving Circle, which is a year-round charitable giving program supported by a community of dedicated Georgian Bay General Hospital team members.  Donations made through this program fund critical equipment, technology and education.

18 new team members joined the Giving Circle during the week, while 6 current members increased their annual gift.  Together, our GBGH Team Giving Circle provides $28,000 to the Foundation each year.

Thank you to Steve Jacklin & the team at Tom Smith Chevrolet Buick GMC for making this week delicious and successful!

And, thank you to all the members of the GBGH Team Giving Circle for their dedication to patient care through their daily work, but also through their philanthropic giving.

I am pleased to announce that Victoria Evans is the successful candidate for the Community Giving Officer with GBGH Foundation.

Victoria joins the GBGH Foundation after spending the last year as the Operations Coordinator at the Midland Cultural Centre where she was responsible for the operational oversight of the organization. Prior to this role, she spent time in volunteer endeavours at The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts and North Simcoe Rotaract. In both organizations, Victoria focused on curating opportunities to combine her love for event and project management with community-based fundraising.

Growing up along the shores of Georgian Bay, she was always looking to engage with the local community in positive and creative ways. Victoria received her Undergraduate Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Communication Studies and Business, and is a recent graduate of the post-graduate Arts Administration and Cultural Management program at Humber College.

Victoria is extremely thrilled to have the opportunity to combine both her creative interests and passion for her community. “I very much look forward to joining the team at the GBGH Foundation where I can contribute to its engagement, empowerment, and sustainability as we work to support the Hospital’s mission of exceptional healthcare for our community.”

Please join me in extending a very warm welcome to Victoria. I am certain her experience and passion for supporting her community will be a wonderful addition to our team.
