Gail La Chapelle worked in the Emergency Department at Georgian Bay General Hospital for many years before she passed away of cancer in 2006. In Gail’s honour, her husband Gerard and his family started the “Gail La Chapelle Memorial Golf Tournament”.
All proceeds from this event have supported the Emergency Department at GBGH, and funding for education for GBGH nurses. Collectively, this tournament has raised more than $500,000 for GBGH.
