On Saturday, August 21, 2021, the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation will host its second Power of Giving Virtual Gala, with a goal to raise $450,000 for the Foundation’s Impact Fund.  This year’s show, presented by Faris Team Real Estate Brokerage, will feature musical entertainment from Luke Lalonde of Born Ruffians, a mixology segment with Canadian comedian Michelle Shaughnessy, and a live (virtual) after party with Kitty & The Boyz.

Layne, The Auctionista returns to host, bringing an incredible, contagious energy that will permeate the screens and bring guests together from across North Simcoe.  The event will also feature heart-warming stories, an online auction and exciting Fund-a-Need segments, raising critical funds for the GBGH Foundation’s Impact Fund.

This year has been so tough on the teams at GBGH,” says Nicole Kraftscik, executive director, GBGH Foundation. “We want to encourage the staff and credentialed staff by bringing the community together for the Power of Giving Virtual Gala in support of our hospital, and raise significant funds that will have a meaningful impact on the care that they provide each day.”

Collaborating with local businesses is also a key focus for the event.  Many local businesses have stepped up generously to sponsor the Power of Giving Virtual Gala, providing funds in exchange for recognition during the event. Selling a specially curated Georgian Bay Bag for the Gala engaged the local business community, with each bag including 20 items perfect for a day on Georgian Bay.

The Power of Giving Virtual Gala will be streamed on the GBGH Foundation You Tube Channel, starting at 7:00PM on Saturday, August 21st.  For more information & to register for FREE, visit www.Give2GBGH.ca or contact the Foundation office (foundation@gbgh.on.ca or 705-526-4483).
