Kickstart Your Heart

Ken King of Harvey’s in Midland has matched Maurice Mechanical’s gift and donated $2,000 to Kickstart Your heart!

An incredible community-minded individual, Ken King supports many charitable and social good causes each year, and his local hospital has been honoured as a beneficiary on numerous occasions.

Because of generous gifts from Harvey’s, and other local businesses, we will be able to purchase new crash carts and defibrillators for GBGH in the coming weeks.  THANK YOU Ken & team!

We are feeling the LOVE this Valentine’s Day! We have received a $25,000 donation from Alan & Alison Fryer for Kickstart Your Heart!

Alan Fryer was introduced to the Georgian Bay area in 1956 when his parents had a family cottage built in the Sawlog Bay area. Eighteen years later, Alan and his wife Alison bought a property in the area and have enjoyed many years at their weekend retreat from a big city lifestyle. For the last while it has been their permanent residence.

Alan & Alison have been generously supporting the GBGH Foundation for the past five years, focusing on projects with significant impact on the care provided at Georgian Bay General Hospital.  They have contributed toward patient room renovations, the purchase of vital capital equipment and technology and the Impact Fund.  Their support for Kickstart Your Heart is another generous testament to how deeply they care about their community.

We have been here for many years, as cottagers and residents,” shares Alison. The hospital is a very important part of our community. Our inspiration comes from thoughts of the future, and our desire to help provide leading edge health and medical care for our entire community.”

Thank you so much Alan & Alison!
