The Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation is the proud recipient of $35,882 raised during the 2018 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign in September.

The funds were raised from the sale of Smile Cookies at Midland, Penetanguishene and Port Severn Tim Hortons restaurants. When customers purchased a Smile Cookie for $1, the entire price was donated to GBGH. Local Tim Hortons franchisees visited GBGH to present the funds which will assist in the renovation of four inpatient rooms as part of the Foundation’s Adopt-A-Room program at the hospital.

On Friday, September 21st, 2018, representatives from the Commonwell Mutal Insurance Group visited Georgian Bay General Hospital to present a cheque for $15,000, in support of the new CT Scanner. This gift was part of the organization’s C.A.R.E. program (Create a Ripple Effect). The program focuses their charitable giving to make a difference to the future of our children, the health of our neighbours and the general safety of those we care about.

Thank you Commonwell Mutual for partnering with us to improve the health and safety of our community!
