On December 3, Mike & Melissa Robinson and family visited the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation to deliver the $10,100 proceeds from Celia’s Bake Sale.  The funds will be used to purchase a Vital Signs Monitor for the GBGH Emergency Department.

Since 2020, Celia’s Bake Sale has raised $38,350 in honour of Mike & Melissa’s daughter Celia Marie, who passed away at Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) on Christmas Day 2019.

A special thank you to the local businesses who collected & encouraged donations to Celia’s Bake Sale: Boulangers Midland City Bakers, Cafe Kittyhawk, Royal Tea on King, Shana’s Baked Goods, Pier 21, World Famous Dock Lunch, and The Captain’s Cafe at GBGH.

On November 14 & 28, 2024, Heather Yates once again hosted her annual holiday planter and lantern sales at Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH). This annual event is a holiday favourite amongst the staff! On both dates, Heather and her mother filled the GBGH cafeteria with holiday planters and lanterns, with 25% of funds raised being donated to the GBGH Foundation.

The two events raised an incredible $350 for the Foundation’s Impact Fund which addresses the highest priority capital equipment and technology needs for GBGH.

Thank you Heather!
