During the August long weekend, Maple Leaf Marinas (BayPort Yachting Centre, Beacon Bay, Wye Heritage, South Bay Cove and Bluewater Lodge) came together once again to support the GBGH Foundation with their annual Fuel Your Hospital fundraiser. Maple Leaf Marinas, in partnership with Mayes Martin, generously donated 12 cents from every litre of fuel sold during the long weekend, as well sold promotional t-shirts.

The event raised an amazing $10,000 for the Foundation’s Kick Start Your Heart campaign, and have raised more than $45,000 over the past three years!

About the 2024 event:

An in-person gala will be paused in 2024, with plans to have a big Power of Giving event return in the Fall of 2025. The Foundation is focused on launching a major capital campaign in 2025, and the team is working hard on laying down the groundwork this year to ensure the campaign will be successful at its community-wide launch next year.

The Online Auction and GBay Bag sales will still be happening in September 2024, giving our community the chance to still be involved and support Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH). We invite you to host your own small dinner or gathering to celebrate the Power of Giving in September, and to help share information about the Online Auction and GBay Bags.

All funds raised through Power of Giving in 2024 will be invested into bringing an MRI Machine to GBGH.
