Power of Giving

In 2024, the Power of Giving will look a little different!

About the 2024 event:

We are on the brink of some of the most exciting and transformational projects in our hospital’s history, and in 2025, we will be launching the largest capital campaign our hospital has ever seen.

So, this year – in 2024 – we are going to pause the in-person Power of Giving gala, while we make plans for an event in 2025 that will mark the official launch of our campaign.

But don’t worry!  We are still going to be celebrating Power of Giving! It’s just going to look a bit different.

The Online Auction and GBay Bags will still be happening in September 2024, giving our community the chance to get involved and support Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH). We invite you to host your own small dinner or gathering to celebrate the Power of Giving in September, and to help share information about the Online Auction and GBay Bags.

This year’s Power of Giving will continue to support the urgent need for MRI technology at GBGH.  Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Faris Team Real Estate Broker logo

The Foundation is so grateful for the continued support of Faris Team Real Estate Brokerage. Their 5-year commitment continues this year with support for some smaller events, and they will be back as the Power of Giving Presenting Sponsor in 2025. Supporters of the community, and of Georgian Bay General Hospital, the Faris Team has committed to presenting our Gala since 2020! Read the full story on their new commitment.

North Simcoe Rotaract Club - March Mudness 2019 PhotoFormerly known as March Mudness, this year’s Mud Mayhem is presented by the North Simcoe Rotaract Club.

DATE: Postponed to May 2021

About the Event:
Comparable to the popular “Tough Mudder”, “MudHero”, “Warrior Dash” and “Mudmoiselle” events, Mud Mayhem aims to attract people looking for an exciting physical challenge and fun! This fundraiser will feature a course winding up and down through Champlain Wendat Rotary Park. Obstacles strategically laid out throughout the course will test participant’s physical strength and mental agility (but don’t worry, we have easy versions, too)!

Sponsorship opportunities available!  Click here to learn more.

Beneficiaries:
Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Georgian Bay General Hospital’s Electronic Health Record project (Meditech Expanse) & Bridget’s Bunnies, who are using the funds to build bereavement kits for Georgian Bay General Hospital!  Start off your fundraising with a goal of $100! Raise even more? Excellent! There are prizes for top individual AND team fundraisers! Every little bit helps!
