This spring, Queen’s Cove Marina held their annual Wine & Cheese gathering for their boating community. Through the support and generosity of their members, and many local vendors, they raised $1,065 for the Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation’s MRI Fund!

A big thank you goes out to the boating members of Queen’s Cove Marina, with a special thank you to all of the following vendors for making this event a great success:

CC Marine Distributors, Land ‘N’ Sea & Paynes Marine group a Div. of Mercury Marine Ltd., Rise to Fries, Coldwater Grill House, Transat Marine Company, Island Product Canada, Bubbas, Rigby Technologies, Stillwater living & Design, Factory Recreation, Georgian Bay Yamaha, Jacobs & Thomas, Foodland ( Victoria Harbour), and West Wind Yacht Sales.

On July 15, 2023, the Woodland Beach Property Owners’ Association and the Woodland Beach History Committee presented Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) Foundation with a $2,000 donation. This gift was inspired by the Bayport Masonic Lodge 50-day match gift, where from June 23 to August 11, 2023, they are helping to boost fundraising efforts with a $50,000 match gift towards an MRI for GBGH. This donation bumps the total to $30,900.

The Woodland Beach Property Owner’s Association hopes that their gift will inspire other local beach associations to take part in this match opportunity, to help bring us closer to acquiring an MRI for GBGH and ensure that our hospital is a centre of imaging excellence.
